There seems to be some confusion about the deadline for applications to our
film studies position at Clark. The November 1st date (today) is when we
start reviewing applications that are complete. We will continue to
consider all completed applications until December 1st.

Please spread word of this to anyone you know who may be applying to our
position. This is our ad:

Assistant Professor of Screen Studies. The Department of Visual and
Performing Arts at Clark University seeks to fill an introductory-level
tenure-track position in non-Western cinemas (especially those of Asia
and/or Africa) effective August 2006. Ph.D. is required. Candidates must be
able to teach a broad range of courses in film, television, or video studies
and should also be willing to participate in Clarkıs interdisciplinary
Communications and Culture program. The successful candidate will
demonstrate potential for excellence in both teaching and research. For more
information about Clarkıs Department of Visual and Performing Arts, visit
our website at: http://www.clarku.edu/departments/clarkarts/ Review of
applications will begin November 1, 2005. Please send cover letter, CV,
writing sample from recent research, and three letters of recommendation to:
Sarah Walker, Chair, Visual and Performing Arts, Clark University, 950 Main
Street, Worcester, MA, 01610. For full consideration, all materials must be
received no later than December 1. You may also make inquiries via email
at: [log in to unmask] AA/EOE. Minorities and women are
especially encouraged to apply.

Thank you.

Dr. Timothy Shary
