AVANT 2005 is dedicated to Olle Hedman and the following subject: “how may
film in itself function as a way of articulating film-theoretical or
film-aesthetical questions?”
As in previous editions, AVANT 2005 will gather critics, film-makers and
scholars in order to create an engaging and open discussion. Except for key
figures from Sweden, Olle Hedman and Claes Söderquist, the following
film-makers and scholars are lecturing at the event: Sean Cubitt,
Frédérique Deveaux, Peter Gidal, Malcolm Le Grice, Ryszard W. Kluszczynski
and Christina Scherer.
