Lexia International in Berlin is pleased to announce a unique collaboration
with the International Forum of New Cinema.

Spring 2005 semester Lexia students on the Berlin Visual Culture Track will
join the excitement of the Berlinale, the International Berlin Film
Festival. From noon until midnight, February 10-20, they will have the
opportunity to screen festival films, while also participating in private
meetings with curators and filmmakers who will provide insights into what
goes into organizing a festival on this scale and how films are made and
distributed. Throughout the festival, photographer and Lexia Instructor
Mark Simon will help students structure their viewing and comprehension of
new cinema, meeting regularly with them for discussion and evaluation.
Lexia students who are inspired to make their own films are then encouraged
to pursue independent projects under the guidance of a Lexia advisor over
the rest of the semester.

Program dates: February 2-May 13, 2005
Application deadline: November 15, 2005

More information is available on the Lexia website,
