Does anyone know anything about Evelyn Gerstein who wrote film criticism
for such publications as THE NATION and THE NEW REPUBLIC in the 1920s and
1930s and appears to have been a regular reviewer for the BOSTON HERALD
and the BOSTON EVENING TRANSCRIPT. There are a few pages on her in
Lounsbury's history of early American film writing, but if anyone knows a
little more about her biography and her critical positions, I would
greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
