This post has been created to further enhance research excellence in Film
while extending the range of subjects taught within its single and joint
honours programmes.

     Applicants will offer good general knowledge of contemporary
historical, critical and theoretical issues in Film Studies, along with
expertise in area[s] that would complement or extend the existing range of
specialisms in the current programmes. All applicants will have a strong
record of research and publication; those applying for a Senior Lectureship
should have a substantial research profile, appropriate to a submission
seeking the equivalent of 5* in previous RAE terms.



Closing date for receipt of applications: 10th October 2003. [Please
indicate whether you wish to be considered for the Lecturer B or Senior
Lecturer post.] Interviews will be held on Monday 27th October. The post
will be tenable from January 1st 2004 (or as soon as possible thereafter, by
mutual agreement).
