Immigrants and Ethnic Groups in Film:

Due out this calendar year is a book which will have sections on
films depicting the following ethnic groups:

African Americans
Arab Americans
Native Americans
Asian Americans
Jewish Americans
Mexican Americans
The Irish and Catholics
Italians

These essays supply a good starting point--both for the social
history involved and for the cinematic representations. Each essay
has a detailed filmography and bibliography.

Here is the data:

The Columbia Companion to American History on Film.
Ed. Peter C. Rollins
(Columbia University Press, 2003)
