1) i saw a (fairly mediocre) film on TV the other day called _Weapons of Mass Destraction_ with Gabriel Byrne and Ben Kingsley in, about two competing mass media moguls

2) while the movie per se isn't WHOLLY about the mass media, _Bulworth_ with Warren Beatty has one of the best monologues on news media, ownership influence, and selectivity. great film too -- just wait till he's being interviewed on TV, and then the monologue i'm talking about kicks in
