As _The Wizard of Oz_ is one of the most beloved films of all time, it is difficult to find criticism of the film that is not overly praiseworthy. As an ardent fan of L. Frank Baum, who recognizes the film's changes from the book as detrimental to its themes, I find this writer's points significant and well articulated, and would love to see something more scholarly to the effect.
