It's not a film but still The Sopranos should be mentioned.  Numerous
psychoanalysts have said its depiction of the process is more accurate than
most films.

(& if you're interested in pop cultural references: recent issues of
Superman have had him in therapy. Seems he let his wife's father die
during a war last year and ....).
