In Emma-Kate Crogan's *Love & Other Catastrophes*(1996), Adrian
Martin, one of Australia's best informed film critics, plays a cinema
studies lecturer/ professor. The kind of laid-back academic you used
to find in Australian universities before mad (& bad) managerialism
turned us all into zombies.
