FILMMAKERS AND SCREENWRITERS INVITED TO SUBMIT THEIR WORKS FOR THE FOURTH AJIJIC FESTIVAL

Filmmakers and screenwriters are invited to submit their new works for consideration for the fourth annual Ajijic Festival Internacional de Cine, to be held November 19 to 24 in Ajijic Jalisco Mexico.

Entry categories include animations, documentaries, feature films, short subjects, screenplays, and for the first time, television commercials. In addition, the Festival will be recognizing the best student productions in all categories. And again for the first time this year, as well as 35mm, BetaSP and VHS video, works may be also screened in digital video or DVD formats.

In its first three years, the Festival has given new filmmakers an opportunity to have their works shown in a supportive international community based in Mexico. Award winners have gone on to have their screenplays produced and films recognized at prestigious film festivals around the world.

The deadline for entries for the Ajijic Festival Internacional de Cine, increasingly known as "The Friendly Festival," is August 15.

The Festival 2002 Entry Form, application procedures and more information on the Ajijic Festival are available on the website at: http://ajijicfest.org
