finance, distribution, and exhibition. Media Productions includes courses
involving computer animation, video and film production, sound design,
interactive media, multimedia, and screenwriting. Media Cultures includes
courses involving history, criticism, and theory of film, broadcasting, and
new media.

Media Industries applicants should have expertise in a combination of the
following: production studies, distribution, exhibition, audience studies,
and management.

Media Productions applicants should have expertise in at least one of the
following: screenwriting, producing, film production, video production,
digital production, post-production.

The Department of Media Arts enrolls 600 undergraduate and graduate
students in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Master of Arts in
Media Arts degree programs. The Department has 11 full-time faculty and a
corps of adjunct instructors from related professional communities. The
faculty's diverse, integrative approaches to study in the field aim to
equip students with broad knowledge and durable skills.
