Paintings of Francis Bacon appear in the opening titles of Bertolucci's Last
Tango in Paris and certainly help set the tone of things to come.
More popularly, in Mel Gibson's directorial debut, 'Man Without A Face,'
appears a striking self-portrait of the lead character (the actual artist is
named in the closing credits).
