Articles on Amistad?

The Y1999 Film & History CD-ROM Annual contains a two-hour
audio workshop on the historical accuracy (or lack of it) of AMISTAD.
Experts on film history (Rob Toplin, Tom Cripps, John O'Connor) speak
as do two experts consulted--and ignored--by the AMISTAD filmmakers.

These are resources of substantive content, but would work well in a
classroom, too, as a radio show....

Full info on this resource is available on the Film & History web site.

Be there!

Comments: Individual subscription information on the web site
as well as information and FAQ's about the CD-ROMs. There are
also discussion items and essays on Saving Private Ryan, Amistad,
CNN's Cold War, and a host of other topics. The Table of Contents
for the last thirty years is there as well. Lastest issues deal with the
Medieval Era in film. Next issues will focus on Television as
Historian and edited by Gary Edgerton (Old Dominion U).

Next conference is in November, 2002 on The American Wests in
Film, Television, and History. The conference will be conducted at the
Kansas City Marriott, near the Country Club Plaza in KS, Missouri.
We are looking for Area Chairs to take on related topics for panels.
