Women's Image Network is truly making strides in their mission to reduce
sexism in the media by screening women's cinematic stories, says founder,
Phyllis Stuart, 'I know we have made a difference with our WinFemme Film
Festival as several titles have garnered Oscar & Spirit Award nods and many
have sold to television. Now in our third year, we plan to include films from
around the world and focus on Spanish Language films to screen in addition to
the English language submissions this year so we may entice LA's enormous
Hispanic Los Angeles population to tell their stories and come to the
festival theatres.

We are very pleased to announce that our Presenting Sponsor, Adelphia Cable,
is airing our WinFemme spot for the entire month of April!. Watch for a
dancing chick, a giggling doll, a sexy fox and a hot tomato who saunter onto
the screen screen and then say: " A GENTLE REMINDER FOR THOSE WHO SOMETIMES
CONFUSE WOMEN WITH VARIOUS UNRELATED OBJECTS". This commerical will run 800
times during a 4 week period on CNN, Lifetime, USA, Comedy Central, BET,
Food Channel, History Channel, Discovery, VH1, MTV, E! in both Scatter and
Prime in all five Los Angeles Counties.

Founder Women's Image Network, WinFemme Film Festival

We produce an annual WINFEMME FILM FESTIVAL, a fun and fabulous niche film
festival, which is now in its third year and growing exponetially. We are
putting our call for entry commercial on Adelphia in April. WIN has had a
long history of many successful events including honoring Lauren Bacall at
last year's WINFEMME. This year we aim to give the WIN Award to Susan
Sarandon and finally add a competiton section with awards for our filmmakers.
WINFEMME films have been excellent and many have garnered Oscar nods, Spirit
Award nods and have sold to television.

In 1993, I founded Women's Image Network a non-profit corporation which seeks
economic parity for women by increasing the number of women's stories. The
Annual WinFemme Film Festival, will be held this year in September, 2001.

Now in our third year, we have had previous support from Paramount Pictures,
The Los Angeles Film Commission, Entertainment Weekly, LA TIMES, AOL
Moviefone, Miramax Films, Sundance Channel, Showtime, Adelphia Communications
and numerous sponsors including, Sony Hi-Def, Universal Studios, AFMA, NATPE,
Budweiser, Landmark Theatres, Final Draft, Atom-bomb.com, StreamSearch.com,
American Express, Earthlink, Evian & Nestle.

Previous WIN Activities:
The WIN AWARDS. Honorees include: Jane Campion, Lauren Bacall, Tichi
Wilkerson & Laura Ziskin.
Produced ABC primetime special, FIFTY YEARS OF FUNNY FEMALES.
The 1st WINFEMME FILM FESTIVAL held at Paramount Pictures
The 2nd WINFEMME FILM FESTIVAL screened 43 films over 4 days.
     Sold Four WINFEMME Films.
Produced one-hour special, GET INTO MY SHORTS, host, Jason Alexander.

Last year, WinFemme screened 43 films, hosted four panel symposiums and held
two parties, and gave a closing night WIN AWARD ceremony which honored Lauren
Bacall and Jane Campion. WIN also had great media support from the newspapers
and attracted amazing media sponsorships including: AOL Moviefone which ran a
WinFemme commercial on their line for 3 weeks prior to the festival and
reached over 100,000 callers weekly. Entertainment Weekly ran a full-page
color ad in the September 1st issue, reaching 8 million readers. Laemmle &
Landmark theatres both ran the WinFemme trailer in select theatres for three
weeks before the festival. Adelphia Communications ran the new WinFemme :30
commercial, running 800 times during a 4 week period before the festival on
the following ten networks: CNN, Lifetime, USA, Comedy Central, BET, Food
Channel, History Channel, Discovery, VH1, MTV, E! in both Scatter and Prime
in all five Los Angeles Counties. StreamSearch.com ran many hours of our
WinFemme films on the Internet and cross-promoted the festival on the web for
six weeks. Sundance Channel, another Winfemme sponsor, will run a piece on
WINFEMME during the week of September in 24 Frame News segment.Channel 2 news
KCBS film critic, David Sheehan, ran a full two-minute piece on the 5:00 p.m.
evening news, announcing the festival and highlighting Ms. Lauren Bacall!
Also, the listener sponsored radio station KPFK (whose listener range covers
all of Southern California and Santa Barbara) interviewed WinFemme Festival
Director, Phyllis Stuart for the morning drive show, Up For Air, with hosts,
Marc Haefele and Erin Aubrey! KPFK radio also offered a ticket give away with
their film club radio host, Jay Kugelman, who offered a ticket contest for
their film club members and ran a 60 second WinFemme radio commercial on
three separate, prime time airings.
