Hmmm.  If I can find time this summer, I'd offer to write about masculinity
in the films of Zhang Yimou, from Raise the Red Lantern to Not One Less (the
five or six Yimou films circulating through American video stores).

Of course, I may misunderstand your target, and I'd need to know more about
