Woodrow Wilson Post-Doctoral Fellowship for 2001-03 in the Department of
Radio-Television-Film and the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the
University of Texas at Austin to research and teach related courses in one of
the nation's top media studies programs. The Harry Ransom Humanities Research
Center is considered one of the world's leading cultural archives, whose
holdings include extensive film and media-related materials - including the
archives of David O. Selznick, Gloria Swanson, and Ernest Lehman, as well as
authors like Tom Stoppard, Aldous Huxley, and Graham Greene who worked in the
film medium. The Fellow will teach one course per semester - an advanced
undergraduate course in film history or cultural studies in the fall term, and
a graduate seminar in archival research in the spring. The graduate seminar
will be cross-listed with the Graduate School of Library and Information
Science, which has a strong emphasis on archival research. The Post-Doctoral
Fellowship is for two years. Deadline for application is Thursday, November
16, 2000. Information and application forms are available at
www.woodrow.org/academic_postdocs. Information specifically about this
fellowship is at
