HBO telling 'Real Story' of Clinton scandal

By Nellie Andreeva

LOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- The Clinton-Lewinsky scandal is
coming back to television -- not as a news story but as a film story.

HBO has bought the rights to Jeffrey Toobin's book "A Vast Conspiracy: The
Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President," about
the behind-the-scenes details of the scandal that led to President Clinton's
impeachment.

The HBO movie, "A Vast Conspiracy," will be produced by Spring Creek Prods.
Peter Gould is on board to write the script and Spring Creek's president
Paula Weinstein is executive producing.

No actresses have been cast for the key roles of White House intern
Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp.

HBO declined comment.
