I'm sure that this is stretching a point, but Tom "Billy Jack" Laughlin ran
(unsuccessfully) for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1992, and
since he hasn't made a film in well over 20 years, he's given up what little
claims to art that he had.....Of course this would only be applicable if he
had actually won some sort of office...but perhaps he's serving on some city
council somewhere.......
