The University of Texas at Austin

The University of Texas at Austin Department of Radio-Television-Film seeks to fill two faculty positions, one in film and media studies at the rank of associate or full professor, and one in television and media studies at the rank of assistant or associate professor, beginning Fall 2013.  A Ph.D. in film, television, media studies or a related field is preferred, with a strong record in publishing and teaching, and with experience supervising advanced graduate and undergraduate students.  We are particularly interested in applicants who bring a critical, cultural and humanities focus to the study of media history, industry, identity and/or reception. Salary commensurate with experience. We will begin reviewing applications on September 28, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled.
