Your examples are all postwar and reflect knowledge (or fantasy)
regarding conditioning, "brainwashing," etc. but to go back quite a
ways, you probably could find some examples in Georges Melies' films as
well as things like Winsor McKay's DREAMS OF A RAREBIT FIEND, which he
animated.
