The place to look is Phil Hardy's "The Overlook Film Encyclopedia of
Science Fiction" (Overlook Press, 1994) or its first edition "Science
Fiction: The Film Encylopedia, v. 2" (Morrow; NY, 1984). It has
entries for nearly every SF film in the 50s, with lots of pictures.
