A LECTURESHIP IN FILM, TELEVISION AND MEDIA STUDIES

We need a lecturer able to teach across a broad range of film,
television and media studies courses.  Applicants should have a PhD in
this area or equivalent qualifications.  The ability to supervise
graduate research is required.
 
The University of Auckland has been involved in the teaching of Film,
Television and Media Studies since 1974.  A Centre for Film, Television
and Media Studies was created in 1994 and now has five lecturers
associated with its teaching programme.  It is possible for students to
seek a BA degree with a 'major' or 'minor' in Film, Television and Media
Studies, and then proceed to an MA or PhD in this area.  This is a
growing programme which has already seen a number of distinguished
graduates move on to careers both in the academic world and in film,
television and other media industries.
 
Commencing salary will be $NZ45,250 - $NZ54,250 per annum.
