Of  course, there's Hitchcock's I CONFESS.  Check also THE ROSARY MURDERS
starring Donald Sutherland and scripted by Elmore Leonard.  The recent
version of THE PLAGUE (Camus) starring William Hurt has a scene of a priest
kneeling on the penitent's side and confessing to no one on the confessor's
side.
