ANTICIPATED OPENING IN FILM STUDIES

SPECIAL APPOINTMENT BEGINNING FALL 2012

The Department of Radio, Television, Film anticipates an opening beginning in Fall 2012 for a one-year special appointment for a full-time assistant professor to teach film studies. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach a broad range of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in film history, theory, authorship, and genres. The ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in documentary studies is preferred, since candidate would play a role in building departmental offerings in documentary film. Additional requirements include significant teaching and advising experience in a liberal arts program, and a record of academic achievement. Ph.D. required.

Salary range is competitive, with excellent fringe benefits.
