Runaway Films, 1947-Present

Call for Papers
Society for Cinema and Media Studies Conference 2005
London, March 31-April 3, 2005

This panel seeks papers exploring American film production abroad,
particularly in Europe in the postwar moment. While close readings of
runaway films are welcome, the ideal submission should also emphasize
institutional, economic, or social factors. Papers looking at runaway films
longitudinally are also welcome. Please send a paper proposal of 400 words,
along with a brief bibliography and 100-word biographical note, to Robert
Shandley via e-mail at [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> by
1 August 2004.
