ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
FILM STUDIES PROGRAM
 
Areas of Specialization: Film History and Theory
 
Apply by: November 15, 1998
 
Tenure-track position at Assistant Professor level in a film department
with a strong foundation in film history and theory. Seeking a scholar in
international/global film and television specializing in theoretical and
historical research in one or more of the following areas: Third Cinema,
international film and television, indigenous media, and new media in a
global context. The position begins July 1, 1999. A Ph.D. normally is
required by the time of appointment, as well as a strong commitment to
teaching and outstanding scholarly research potential. Women and
minorities are encouraged to apply.

writing sample, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent
