On "Double Life of Veronique" parallels:

DOn't know if this one has been mentioned, but it would be possible to read
"Veronique" as a reworking/parallel of Kieslowski's earlier "Blind Chance,"--
there, rather than offer two Veroniques, the film replays the same character
three times over, comparing their fates according to his choices. A more
'mechanical' approach to similar themes.
