It's well worth a visit, but it's nowhere near London.  Bradford is 
175 miles north of London.  The trip takes 3-4 hours by car, 
depending on the traffic.  The journey can theoretically be done in 
just over two hours by train, but the trains in Britain are so 
unreliable, delay-prone and expensive that nobody in their right mind 
would use them if they have any other choice.  BMI (www.flybmi.com) 
flies from London Heathrow to Leeds/Bradford: it's considerably 
cheaper than the train in most cases (you can get cheaper train 
tickets, but only if you book weeks in advance), even after taking 
into account the cost of getting to and from airports.  I've used 
this route about once every 6-8 weeks for the last three years, and 
have never suffered a cancellation or significant delay (I went to 
London meetings by train for around two years before that, and was 
never able to complete a round trip WITHOUT suffering a cancellation 
or significant delay).

The first Saturday in the month is the ideal time to visit, as the 
Pictureville Cinema there shows 'This is Cinerama' using an original 
release print and a genuine three-projector installation.  It's the 
only theatre in the world which runs regularly scheduled Cinerama 
screenings, apart from the Cinerama Dome in Seattle.
