i saw First Knight just the other night.  Not only did it harken back to
swashbuckling Classical Hollywood film, but the depictions of knights in
shining armour was quite homoerotic.  From the few times I've read this
article, I would say the long seqences of exchanged glances between the hero
(Sir Lancelot) and the damsel in distress (Gwen) solicited a "to-be-looked-
at-ness" for both the male and female spectator.
