You've undoubtedly already considered obvious possibilities like CITIZEN KANE (opening 
episode of preparation of "News on the March") and BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL (producer 
& director try to re-think their B-movie debut on "Cat People" theme).  My memory is 
less sharp on a pair of 1937 semi-satiric films about film-making, STAND IN (dir. by 
Tay Garnett) and STAR IS BORN (dir. by Wm. Wellman); each might well have the sort of 
episode you're seeking...

I'm working on a presentation on how to analyze film and television 
production meetings from a critical (rather than structural/functionalist) 
perspective.   I would like to find a scene in a movie of a typical (if 
classically exaggerated since it IS a movie) film or TV production meeting 
to use for analysis.
