Derek Bouse asks whether there is an American film that comes as
close to "truth" as PIXOTE.
 
I am a bit hesitant to identify such a film, but will pose one
for consideration--Hector Babenco's IRONWEED, with Jack Nicholson
and Meryl Streep.
 
Babenco creates an environment of the homeless both
physically and mentally.
