The Dept. of Media Arts at The Univ. of Arizona invites applications
for a tenure track faculty position in new media at the assistant
professor level to start as early as Spring 1997.
 
The candidate should be a researcher, a creative artist, or a
combination of the two, with work addressed issues in technology,
knowledge, and expression.  Such issues might be addressed in work on
virtual environments, multimedia, computer-based communication, the
digital delivery or manipulation of information, etc.
 
Responsibility include: teaching courses at the undergra. and graduate
levels; developing the concept of a digital arts lab for media arts
users; developing a significant program of research or creative work;
and so on.
 
Send cover letter, vita, evidence of teaching and scholarly
productivity, 3 recommendation to:
