Milestone Films is delighted to announce that Kent Mackenzie's great Native 
American film THE EXILES is now available for purchase on public performance 
DVD. This astonishing film chronicling one night in the lives of a group of 
young Native Americans in Los Angeles was restored to 35mm by UCLA and had its 
first ever theatrical premiere this month at New York's IFC Center! Presented 
jointly by film great Charles Burnett and the American Indian writer Sherman 
Alexie, the film follows a group of exiles - transplants from Southwest 
reservations - as they flirt, drink, party, fight, and dance. THE EXILES has never 
before been released in theaters or on home video and the restored version (a 
high-definition transfer from the 35mm interpositive) now looks and sounds 
spectacular!

You can join our efforts to celebrate the restoration and rediscovery of this 
extraordinary film. We are now offering THE EXILES for institutional DVD sale 
to cultural and educational institutions with on-site public performance 
rights for $300 plus $5 for shipping and handling. The DVD cannot be sold to some 
institutions until after the theatrical playdate in their city. The home dvd 
release will be in 2009.
