Well, it's not exactly on topic but I can't pass up mentioning the use of
French to bypass censors on a Star Trek: The Next Generation episode where
Captain Picard exclaims, "Merde."  (It's the only time I can recall him
saying anything in French but maybe some Trekker can correct me.)
