I must have jumbled my message. There is NOthing wrong with legit PAL
copies. As for the Dekalog, I refuse to make a judgement on this one since
I think this particular distributor is NUTS and pretty much gets what they
deserve.  I generally argue adamently against bootlegs and encourage people
to get PAL copies if it is a foreign title. However I do understand the
frustrations of academics in particular when they actually do try to get
films legitemately and can not. Not every film can be gotten on video and I
am not trying to encourage bottlegging but the reality with something like
the Dekalog is that these people are just STUPID and have screwed up first
on film and now on video one the most importand of modern film projects so
I do not have a lot of sympathy for them
