Hi, again, Cal,
I have long been a strong advocate of computers in instruction
and this list is part of that. I encourage you to REQUIRE that your students
get active on the "Information Superhighway" before all their colleagues
pass them by at cyberspeed. (Oh, gag!)
I recommend or require (depending on the course) that my students get
a USERID, get up on the mainframe either directly or via modem and
climb aboard for the ride of their lives! Here, at Central Michigan
University, we have our own local List for all students, faculty, and alums
in the Broadcast & Cinematic Arts Department. The List "owner" is
Dr. Mark Poindexter ([log in to unmask]) or (CMUVM.CSV.CMICH.EDU).
I'm sure he'll be happy to give you and others a hand in getting
started. I'm surprised Temple doesn't have something similar
already up and running. BEST TO YOU!
"Old buzzards fly slower but wiser."
