"Time after Time," starring Malcolm McDowell--H.G. Wells meets Jack the
Ripper.

There's also a subgenre in the Time Travel genre dealing with time
paradoxes. The "Back to the Future" movies fit into this genre, as does
"Somewhere in Time", with Christopher Reeve.
