Radio-TV-Film Positions Announcement
#1)  Film and Media Studies
 The Radio-TV-Film program in the Department of Communication at University
of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is seeking oneAssistant Professor with expertise in
Film and Media Studies beginning in the 1999/00 academic year.  Ph.D
required.  Courses may include:  Understanding Radio, Television and Motion
Pictures (a Freshman level, general education elective), Radio-TV-Film
Communication (required for all RTF majors), History of Cinema,
Telecommunications in the Information Age, and Seminar in Radio-TV-Film.
Commitment to research, undergraduate teaching, and service to the
university is required.

#2)  Broadcast News and Writing
 The Radio-TV-Film program in the Department of Communication at University
of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is seeking oneAssistant Professor with expertise in
Broadcast News and Writing.  Ph.D. required. Courses may include: Writing
for Broadcast Media, Advanced Media Writing, Broadcast News Workshop, The
Documentary, and Radio-Television-Film Communication.  Commitment to
research, undergraduate teaching, and service to the university is required.

Deadline for Applications is January 30, 1999.  Please send a cover letter,
resume, three current letters of recommendation and transcripts (original

Communication, University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh, Oshkosh, WI  54901.

The Radio-TV-Film major at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh enrolls
approximately 300 undergraduate students and includes an FM radio station
and a cable television channel.  With  a faculty-student body of 11,000,
the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is both a major undergraduate campus
and a regional graduate center in the statewide University of Wisconsin
system. The UW Oshkosh campus is located along the Fox River in a city of
50,000 that is famous for its history and noted for modern commercial and
cultural development. Bounded by lakes, rivers and nearby forested
recreational areas, Oshkosh is located within easy driving distances of
Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago. A modern airport provides direct flights to
