I saw _Sweet Charity_ on stage yesterday, but I have never seen _Nights of Cabiria_. Fellini still seemed to be all over it. Does anyone know how close they are? The program explained she was a prostitute in the original and changed to a dance hall hostess since NY prostitutes were seen as either rich or bums and would not be sympathetic characters, but it didn't say anything more comparing the two.
