The Austin Heart of Film Screenwriters' Conference, held in
Oct.(10--13) in Austin, Texas, recognizes the writer's contribution
to the motion picture and TV industry.  Days are filled panels,
seminars and round table discussions and one-on-one pitch sessions.
Registration deadline is by June 17 with $250.00 fee(student:
$175.00).
 
In the meantime, there is a film competition with the following
requirements: film must be feature lenth narrative (75 min. or
longer, no documentaries);  applicant must be one of the credited
writers;  films must be available in 16mm or 36mm composite condition
with soundtrack, title included; and so further.
 
Also, there is a screenplay competition
