Could anyone please suggest an article which offers a re-evaluation
or a contemporary assessment of the auteur theory. I know
that SCS panels have addressed the issue, but I have been unable
to find anything in print.

I am putting together some material for a contemporary film
criticism (third year level course). Students will be
reading the Sarris/Kael articles prior to addressing
recent evaluations of auteurism.

Thanks!
