Call for papers for a proposed Special Session, Modern Language
Association Convention, New Orleans, Dec. 26th-30th 2001, on "New
Paradigms for Film/Fiction Studies." New ways of understanding, writing

about, and teaching, the "crossovers" (exchanges) between literary and
cinematic fictions.

Adaptations may or may not provide the textual basis of the paper.
Method of the present writer is psychoanalytic (the uncanny in fiction
and film) but other theoretical/textual approaches to the issue are
welcome. 2-3 page proposals by March 20th to:

Dr. Gavriel Reisner
Program for Interdisciplinary Studies
Faculty of the Arts
