Hello there,
I am a first-year postgraduate student at the University of
Sheffield (UK), studying the application of Mikhail Bakhtin's literary
theories to film. At the moment I am putting something together on the
films of David Mamet (principally those directed by him - ie, 'House of
Games', 'Things Change', 'Oleanna' and especially 'Homicide').If anybody
has any opinions on these films, or knows of any pertinent critical
material, I would appreciate your comments. Also, I am looking for a
video copy of 'Oleanna' in the European, not NTSC, format. If anybody
knows where I could get hold of it, could they let me know.
                             Thanks,
                             Martin Flanagan
