Three year-olds spend a great deal of time analysing gender roles
(subconsciously, of course). While we're on the topic of wimpishness,
does anyone know why the women who came up with PBS's "Barney" chose to
make the character male? Would there be less adult hostility towards
Barney if he were a she?
