In reference to the political implications of the trailers for (and film of?)
INDEPENDENCE DAY (very suggestive title, in light of current champions of
the individual and/or environment that have been making headlines in Montana
and elsewhere):

Another curious trend is the sudden Tornado Craze. Not only do we have the
well-hyped premiere of TWISTER this weekend, but TNT did TORNADO, there
was a special on such storms produced by the Weather Channel, and even
Superman recently spent two magazine issue fighting tornadoes that had
apparently *not* been cooked up by mad scientists.

Are we nearing the Millenium, or what?

Don Larsson, Manakto State U (MN)
