  In a way I agree with you. HDTV will never reach any great heights as the
developers propose. HDTV is seen as an equal medium for all tape and television
formats around the world. HDTV developers hope to monopolize on the standards
market by making NTSC, PAL, and SECAM obsolete. This, however, will never
work because of people in this business being stubborn enough not to give up
something which has proven successful for them.
