There is a little book in French on David Lynch. It's by Michel Chion,
who's better known for his books on sound and the voice. I cannot speak
very highly of this book, but it *is* a reference.
Also, on the topic of food/eating in cinema, I believe there was a
recent USC dissertation on eating and cinema. I seem to remember Peter
Greenaway (*The Cook, the Thief...*) was a major topic. The author's
name is Tracey (sp?) Biga. Poking through a CD-ROM of dissertation
abstracts might be helpful....
Sincerely,
Edward R. O'Neill
