[MORE SPOILERS ABOUT SNEAKERS]

Daniel,

I got the impression from Sneakers that Cosmo was not loyal to
the Mob. Doesn't he at one point say to Robert Redford about his
crime connections, "That's just my day job," and he moves the
conversation into a sealed room to prevent his discussion with
RR from being bugged by his Bosses (capital B)? I guess I
interpreted his motivations as purely socialistic (or, at
least, Hollywood's version of such).

BTW, I agree with the assertion that mainstream media routinely
presents distorted views of radical political positions (especially
leftist). One extreme version of this can be seen on Nick at
Night. When watching old episodes of Dragnet, it doesn't take
long for a "crazed hippie" episode to come on!
