 Can't help you on this particular enquiry. But are you including the work
of Dario Argento in your dissertation whose stylistic exercises in Hitchcock
include several examples of what Robin Wood has described as "monstrous gays."
See e.g. DEEP RED, FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET. Also, there is one brief scene in
Damio Damiani's CONFESSIONS OF A POLICE CAPTAIN TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY (C. 19
70). The killer in Argento's OPERA may also belong to that category.
